With an introduction to the basics of patchwork and quilting you'll learn how to cut, piece, back, quilt and bind (and find out what all these terms mean!) in fun workshops in our studio.
How does the "show of interest" booking reservation system work?
Full day workshops and longer courses are available from £80
This is a FREE listing as a show of interest in learning patchwork and quilting with us.
We need to have at least 3 participants for each class to go ahead so we are asking you to show your interest in attending a workshop/course and we will contact you with further details and to confirm suitable dates. This should be in the next 2-3 months. If there are any dates you know you cannot do please put these in the comments box at the checkout. Please also indicate if you would like to attend an intro to patchwork and quilting full day workshop or you would prefer a longer course over several weeks.
What you will learn:
- Use quilting rulers, markers and patchwork equipment to accurately square off and measure your fabric
- Use a rotary cutter with a ruler and cutting mat to accurately cut your fabric strips and pieces
- Join your pieces with a 1/4 inch seam
- Create a "quilt sandwich"
- Quilt your samples
- Create a mini quilt or cushion cover
- Finish with binding
