This fun and feminine, button-through skirt features swishy flared panels to create a cute 70s retro look. You can choose to add patch pockets, belt loops and jeans buttons to the front opening.

This style looks fab in chunky corduroy for a cosy Autumn look, linen for a cool beach style to pop on over a swimsuit or in denim for a classic look for all seasons.

    You will also need:

    • Jeans buttons or other 2-3cm buttons: 5 for short version, 8 for knee length version
    • 25cm Medium weight Iron-on interfacing. 
    • Optional: Topstitching thread

     Equipment:

    Sharp fabric scissors, suitable needles for your fabric, sewing machine with buttonhole function, sharp pins, basic sewing tools.  Useful: Pattern weights, overlocker.

    It is vitally important, when sewing your own clothes, to take accurate measurements of your body, and not rely on the sizing you expect to buy on the high street. For this pattern we have opted to use sizing 1-8, which approximately covers UK sizes 8-24. Measure yourself first to choose the right size for you.
