Our ‘Sewing Café’ is available at least once a week. During ‘Sewing Café’ time, you are welcome to bring your own projects to work on and you can hire our machines and equipment by the hour.
We have a fantastic range of Brother sewing machines for you to use, including quilting machines, overlockers and an embroidery machine (for a small additional cost). You can also help yourself to our scissors, threads, rulers, pattern master, pins, iron, gadgets and also tea and coffee facilities while you sew! All you need to bring is your current project.
The ‘Sewing Café’ is an opportunity to use our lovely space to work on larger projects. We have a big cutting table for you to spread out on, which is ideal for projects like dressmaking and quilting.
The ‘Sewing Café’ usually runs on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, but please book ahead so we can set up a machine and make plenty of space for your projects.
The ‘Sewing Cafe’ is £6 per hour and you will need to book in by filling in the form below.
The ‘Sewing Café’ is an un-tutored session, but the team will be available for quick questions and to help with any problems with the machines. You will receive a full induction as part of your first session, so you know where everything is kept.
You can hire our embroidery machine for £16 initial set up during which we will show you how to use the machine and then £8 per hour after the first hour which includes backing and threads.
The ‘Sewing Café’ is not suitable for absolute beginners.
