Patchwork and Quilting - Introduction to Patchwork and Quilting
A great introduction to the basics of patchwork and quilting.
In this class, you’ll learn easy ways to measure, cut and sew your first patchwork project, or pick up tips and tricks to develop your skills.
What you will learn:
- Use a quilting ruler to accurately square off and measure your fabric
- Use a rotary cutter with a ruler and cutting mat to accurately cut your fabric strips and pieces
- Join your pieces with a 1/4 inch seam
- Create a quilt sandwich
- Quilt your sample
- Finish with binding

- Fabric, wadding and binding for you sample

About your tutor:
Elizabeth Hirst is passionate about working with textiles and enjoys finding little cheats to make quilting more efficient and fun. She particularly enjoys free motion quilting and teaching this fabulous technique as well as a full range of Patchwork and Quilting techniques to others.
