Rag Rugging Beginners Half Day Workshop
Run by our tutor Kim, this half day rag rug workshop is designed to give you all the skills you need to be able to start any rag rug project for yourself at home.
In our half-day workshop, you will learn all the rag rug basics – how to use the rag rug equipment, how to select and prepare materials and how to do the two types of rag rugging (loopy and shaggy). You will be provided with all the materials you need on the day (including a latch hook to take home) and will start a small rag rug project during the class (a jolly rag rug flower / pot stand).
Our classes are friendly, informal and involve plenty of tea and biscuits. Our introductory class is a nice way to dip your toe into rag rugging and meet some like-minded people.
What you will learn:
- How to use a latch hook and a spring hook.
- How to create different effects with rag rugging.
What is included:
- Your equipment (practice hessian and a latch hook to take home).
- Fabrics to use
- Instructions to take home
