Sewing a Winter Coat Inspiration
I've been plotting my next project for a couple of weeks and I'm really excited to dive in with a coat project this winter!
I've made two coats before and I really quite enjoy taking on a more involved project. There is often a lot of pieces to coat patterns, which cam make them feel overwhelming. But at the end of the day, if you can sew a dress, a coat isn't much different, it just takes longer!
We have a lot of beautiful coat fabric in stock at the moment, here are some of the contenders for this coat project I've been thinking about -
First up is the Sew Over It Chloe Coat in beautiful 'vegan' boiled wool, which is washable! Perfect for us busy mama's who risk dirt on a daily basis.
I love the classic look of Tilly and the Buttons Eden Coat and it would be perfect i our Red Cotton Twill! It gives off a lot of Joules vibes.
You can't go wrong with a classic trench, and Cashmerette Chilton Trench Coat in Teal Cotton Twill would ensure you stood our from the crowd!
I've made Simplicity 8797 in the grey colourway, but it would also be perfect in Pink Teddy Coating Fabric!
Fun and bright, a Kelly Anorak in Clouds and Rainbows Raincoating is ideal for those of us who are young at heart!
Or make Grainline Studio Cascade Duffle Coat in Mustard Boiled 'Wool' for a bright and beautiful coat this winter.
