Introducing our Cosiest Pattern Yet - The Cosy Slipper Boot Pattern
Our latest pattern release, the Cosy Slipper Boot Pattern, is sure to keep you cosy all Winter long and beyond!
We designed this pattern back in May, at the beginning of lockdown, when we were all looking for cosy comfy clothes to work from home in.
We ran this project as a Live Online Workshop and it has been our most popular yet, so we are delighted to share it with even more makers with our new pattern release. The pattern is available as a Printed Paper Pattern or PDF Download.
The slipper boots can be made in a variety of fabrics including medium to heavyweight jersey, sweat shirting, fleece or craft cotton for the outer and fleece or sweat shirting for the lining.
I made my first pair in lush navy polar fleece and this fun Neon Leopard French Terry. I'm planning my next pair in a gorgeous brushed cotton check!
You can order a kit of materials to make your boots, including outer and lining fabrics, interfacing and Bosal In-R-Form Foam for the padded insoles.
If you are more used to lightweight stable woven fabrics you may be apprehensive about sewing the thicker fabrics and foam used in this project. Most sewing machines will have no trouble sewing thicker stretchy fabrics but by adding interfacing to stabilise them you will find this helps no end.
If you would like a little extra help we'll be running a Live Online Workshop early in the New year so why not join us! We hope you enjoy sewing yourself cosy with our new Cosy Slipper Boots pattern.
Happy Sewing!
