Welcoming 2025 – A Year of Growth, Creativity, and Community

Happy New Year! As we step into 2025, I can’t help but feel excited about everything this year has in store. Last year was a big one for me—finding a balance between running Crafty Sew and So, working part-time in a school, and making time for my family was a challenge, but one I worked hard to navigate. Now, with a fresh start, I’m ready to take on new projects, expand my offerings, and continue growing this wonderful sewing community.

What’s Coming in 2025?

This year is all about building, creating, and sharing more with you! Here’s a little glimpse into my plans for the year:

• Teaching at Attenborough Arts Centre – I’m thrilled to be leading workshops in Leicester, helping more people discover the joy of sewing. Teaching has always been one of my passions, and I can’t wait to see new and familiar faces in my classes!

• Bridgetown Ball & Dressmakers Ball – I’ll be heading to the Bridgetown Ball in May, and of course, planning is already underway for another spectacular Dressmakers Ball. If you love dressing up in your me-made finery, these are events to keep on your radar!

• Crafty Sewing Camp 2025 – After such a fantastic event last year, I’m looking forward to another unforgettable weekend at Crafty Camp. Whether you're coming for the workshops, the sewing time, or just the wonderful company, it’s going to be amazing.

• Growing the Subscription Box Business – One of my biggest focuses this year is expanding my sewing subscription boxes, bringing even more exciting treats to subscribers each month. I’m especially excited about working with other small businesses, like The Specky Seamstress, to include some fabulous goodies in future boxes!

• Expanding Digital Workshops – With in-person workshops winding down, I’m doubling down on digital workshops. This year, I’m adding more small project tutorials and launching an introduction to dressmaking course—perfect for those looking to take their first steps into garment sewing!

2025 is shaping up to be a busy but fulfilling year, and I can’t wait to share it all with you. Whether you’re joining a workshop, signing up for a subscription box, or just following along on social media, I’m so grateful to have this incredible community alongside me.
