Have fun with new-to-you fabrics

If you’ve not sewn with lightweight, more slinky fabrics before, this is a great pattern to try them out. It requires 2m of fabric for the size 1-8 and 2.6m for size 9 so it’s not going to break the bank if you choose one of the beautiful viscoses we have in stock.

If you need a helping hand working with woven fabrics take a look at our guide here

As with all My Handmade Wardrobe Patterns, you will find a beautiful instructions booklet included, with clear, step by step photographs to guide you through making your skirts.  We've included really clear instructions for all the new techniques that this pattern introduces you to to build your confidence.

On the My Handmade Wardrobe Blog you will find tutorials for everything we couldn't fit in the instructions - from how to use PDF patterns to how to measure your body for dressmaking.

Sizing Advice

This pattern is the second in our range to include a new size 9 which will fit up to a 140cm hip. We are really pleased to be able to make our patterns available to a wider audience and we are striving to keep progressing with this.

It vital when sewing your own clothes to take accurate measurements of your body, and not rely on the sizing you expect to buy on the high street. This is why we’ve switch out the usual sizes (eg, 8-22) for our own system of numbers 1-8. You have to measure yourself to pick your size!

Our size range fits from a waist 66cm or 26" to 109cm or 43".  Check the size chart below to choose the right size for you.

All that’s left for me to say is - "that’s a wrap!"… (sorry I couldn’t help myself!)
