Stop & Stitch Embroidery

Embroidery is a great way to refresh clothing and even beautify repairs!
And it’s bang-on-trend right now!

You can use simple embroidery stitches including running stitch, satin stitch, lazy daisy and French knots, to add beautiful embellishment to jeans, tops and accessories.  Hand embroidery lets you personalise your clothes and create truly unique items everyone will be jealous of!

I first tried my hand at a bit of embroidery in preparation for embroidering my wedding dress (find out more about that over on craftysarahsews.wordpress.com)

I really enjoyed the slow but satisfying process to add a unique touch to clothing and homewares.

If you fancy trying your hand at a bit of simple embroidery you can “Stop & Stitch” with us in St. Martins Square on 21st July. We're offering free drop-in taster embroidery sessions for all!

We'll have lots of hoops ready for you to have a go at some fab and easy stitches.  Just pull up a chair and we'll set you started!  We'll also have nice examples of ways you can apply the techniques you're learning to clothes and accessories.

We are also hosting the Craft Fair in the Square that day where there will be lots of talented makers selling their makes.  So come along to enjoy the fun of the fair and why not "Stop & Stitch" and try something new with us on Saturday 21st July!

Happy sewing!
