Great British Sewing Bee Week Three - 70's Week!
I was actually so excited for 70's week on the Sewing Bee! I love the relaxed vibe of 70's clothes, and was eager to see the challenges the sewers would be given.
I've collected some of my favourite dressmaking patterns which have a fabulous 70's style going on for them. You'll spot they're all from Tilly and the Buttons, True Bias or Closet Case Patterns. It's not unusual for indie pattern houses to channel the style of their favourite decade!
Seren Dress - Lander Trousers - Charlie Tunic
Jenny Dungaress - Martha Dress - Southport Dress
Most of these have been sitting on my 'to sew' pile for far too long! I'm totally inspired and encouraged after watching last nights sewing bee to crack on and start making something! We've also got some fantastic vicoses and jersey prints in at the moment which would pair so perfectly with the Southport dress or maybe Seren.
Check them out quickly though, our favourite fabrics don't hang around long!
