Sew Leicester - Celebrate our FOURTH Birthday!
There is nothing like sewing socials to meet up with online friends and meet new people who just get you!
We'll meet for lunch at a cafe in the city centre (venue tbc) for yummy food and sewing chats, take a wonder around the city’s fabric shops and haberdasheries and the market, then head back to Crafty HQ for cake and even more fabric shopping!
After lunch we invite you to bring along your unwanted dressmaking patterns and exchange them for a shiny new one in a pattern swap. We've all accumulated a pile of dressmaking patterns we just know we'll never get around to making, and pattern swaps are a fantastic opportunity to clear out that stash and pick up a new pattern which is more 'you'.
If you're a new sewist, pattern swaps are a fantastic opportunity to build your stash for free! You don't have to swap like for like, feel free to bring one pattern and take two away. At the end of the event, any unclaimed patterns will make their way to the local Sue Ryder charity shop who are always grateful for sewing goodies donations!
After lunch we’ll then take a wonder around the market and local fabric and knitting shops, before heading back to Crafty Sew & So, St Martins Square, for more chat and fabric shopping!
And because the weekend is the shops 4th birthday weekend, Sarah and I will be celebrating and providing everyone with cake and a an exclusive discount on all fabrics and patterns purchased on the day! We can't wait!
If you want to come, please book in through the Facebook events page or directly through Eventbrite if you don't have Facebook!
And why not share this picture on your Instagram or blog to let people know that you're coming along! #sewleicester
