Looking for a creative way to spend your weekend? Join our patchwork and quilting workshop! It's a great introduction to the basics of patchwork and quilting.
This beginner-friendly class will teach you the basics of piecing together fabric to create beautiful and functional quilts. With guidance from our experienced instructor, you'll learn how to select fabrics, cut and sew patches, and assemble a mini quilt or a quilted cushion cover.
Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a newcomer to sewing, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to relax, learn a new skill, and make something special. In this class, you’ll learn easy ways to measure, cut and sew your first patchwork project, or pick up tips and tricks to develop your skills.
What you will learn:
- Use a quilting ruler to accurately square off and measure your fabric
- Use a rotary cutter with a ruler and cutting mat to accurately cut your fabric strips and pieces
- Join your pieces with a 1/4 inch seam
- Create a quilt sandwich
- Quilt your sample
- Finish with binding
- Turn your mini quilt in to a cushion cover.
