An update about our Workshops

Hi, I do hope you are all keeping well and finding peace and fulfilment in doing something crafty and creative at this worrying time.

This week has been challenging to say the least. As a business and on personal level, it has been full of so many questions with the most prevailing question being "what should we do for the best?"

We planned to continue to run in-person workshops with safety measures in place until we felt it was no longer safe to do so. We have now come to that point and so we will no longer being running in-person workshops or lessons until further notice. If you are booked into a workshop with us we will be in touch very soon to talk to you about alternatives or postponement of your workshop.

We totally understand and agree with the government's advice to cancel all non-essential trips and meetings.

Of course, this makes us very sad as workshops are core to our business and we are passionate about sharing our knowledge and experience!

So, we hope we have found some ways to make our workshops accessible to everyone still.

Firstly, you can buy kits for many of our popular workshops to enjoy at home. We have been working on building up our range of kits for the past few years and we are pleased to have a great range for all abilities to keep you entertained!

Secondly, we have been planning to launch online workshop for some time but something just wasn't quite clicking. We filmed footage, edited it and put it out for testing but there was something missing, it's only now we've realised what it is...YOU!

Happy sewing workshop customers

When we reached out to the sewcial community to ask for thoughts and ideas about online workshops the reaction was the same, many of you said you’d prefer a LIVE workshop so you can ask questions as you go and interact with a group. This is something I often find super helpful in classes and I love the interaction as you pick my (and often each other’s) brains! This will also be a lonely time for many of us cooped up indoors, so we are keen to facilitate the sewcial interaction of our in-store workshops through our online workshops too!

We can't wait to share our sewing enthusiasm with you all and be in your sewing room with you! So, we have been looking into how we can come to you through a series of scheduled LIVE ONLINE WORKSHOPS.
